Things I think...college football edition

I think RichRod is going to ride Denard Robinson until he breaks down or gets killed.  Robinson account for 94% of UM's offense against ND.

I think the ACC makes the Big East look like the AFC North.  Damn is that league bad.

I think anyone who thinks that Jacory Harris is ready for primetime needs to have their head examined.

Dear Seminoles, Were you aware that you had a football game this past Saturday?  OK just checking.

Oregon is Freightingly good on offense.

I think Lattimore at SC will be a Top 5 pick in 2 years.

My Top 10
1.  Bama
2. Ohio St.
3. Oregon
4. Nebraska
5. Oklahoma
6. Boise St.
7. Iowa
8. Florida
9. TCU
10 Texas

Conference breakdowns for college football

ACC

If you read my ACC predictions I said that The U and the Noles are back, and this weekend they had a good start.  I think Miami could be a darkhorse for the National title.  Now I realize it was against FCS teams, but both of these ex-powers will have great offenses all year long.

Big East
Well the the Big East was pathetic.  Uconn and Cincy and embarrassment.  Pitt had a tough road game to open the season, so I'll give them a pass on that loss.  WVU looked like I thought they would.  COnservative and methodical on offense, and Dominating on D.  The only thing that was great was the WVU special teams were in fact special.  Which as all WVU fans know have been atrocious for the last 3 years.

Thoughts on college football week 1

--Sure Florida and Oklahoma looked bad and Notre Damn and Michigan looked good, but don't be fooled.

Florida was without 3 offensive linemen that will be starting later this season, and the center snap problem can be fixed.  Brantley looked OK, but the play calls we extremely conservative.  The Gator D looked very good, especially in the secondary.  Florida will be good, but only if the D can carry them until the offense is fixed.

Oklahoma will be fine on offense.  Murray can win the Heisman if he is given enough carries.  I don't know what it is, but I don't like Landry Jones.  I think its the pornstache.  The OU D will be ok, but giving up 300+ yards passing to Utah St. is pathetic.

Notre Dame will be dominant again, just not this year.  I wouldn't be suprised to see ND win 8-9 games this year.  Brian Kelly is that damn good.

Michigan looked very familiar on offense.  As a WVU fan I have seen that look on offense before.  If Robinson stays healthy RRod may have found another QB that can save his ass(ala Pat White).  Now when UM plays teams with good offenses they will need to put up 30 to have a chance, but since RR found his QB there is a good chance of that.  I could see this team winning 8 games, and that pisses me off.

For those that bet...

Here are some lines from College Football Week 1.

UTAH -3
PITT

UCONN  +3
Michigan

LSU  -1
UNC

Purdue +10
N. Dame

Dallas...

The Cowboys look horrible.  I mean they have all preseason, but its just not getting better.  Its scary to have that much talent, and be so damn bad on offense.  Everyone is picking them to go to the Super Bowl, and I;m not sure they can handle the pressure,
